Naked Man Strolling Through City: "It's very hot"

Naked Pedestrian Shrugs, Says "It's very hot"

A naked man on a stroll through downtown Burlington, Vermont, Thursday had a simple excuse for his lack of attire: "It's very hot."

The man wasn't completely nude, reports The Burlington Free Press; he was wearing a hat and sneakers. He also had a green tote bag on his shoulder, presumably to compensate for his lack of pockets.

While he declined to identify himself to a reporter, the man did offer an explanation.

"It's very hot," he said. "It's freedom."

He also reportedly asserted that nudity is good for one's health, even though it's not allowed in public.

"I'm doing nothing except enjoying myself," he said.

All of Vermont and part of northern New York State was under a heat advisory from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday. Temperatures in the area reached the high 90s.

The nude man admitted he'd previously walked naked through town.

He reportedly found some pants after reporters explained they were going to photograph him.
