3@3 For Weds, 6/20: 70th Birthday Of The LP Record!

First, Edison came up with cylinders...it worked. Then, they flattened the cylinders, made them 78rpm flat disks, but they only lasted a few minutes per side. But in June of 1948, Columbia Records released the 1st Long-Playing record, or "LP," for short - 20 minutes per side, recorded at 33 1/3 RPM. LONG LIVE ROCK!

1) "Big 10"" - Aerosmith

2) "Old Time Rock & Roll" - bob Seger ("Just take those old records off the shelf.")

3) "Can't Stand Losing you" - The Police ("My LP records and they are scratched.")
