Q104.3 Honors the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

On Wednesday, April 4, 2018, Q104.3 New York honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by playing U2's "Pride (In the Name of Love)" 50 times—once for every year since Dr. King's death.

In "Pride," U2 explores Dr. King's impact on the American Civil Rights Movement and how he affected change through peaceful protest.

"Everyone should be thinking about what he did and said, and where we are 50 years later in this country," said Q104.3 Program Director Eric Wellman.

About twice an hour on Wednesday, listeners will hear some of Dr. King's words, followed by U2's tribute to him.
