Wes Borland: "I Wish Nothing but the Worst" for Aaron Lewis of Staind

Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland wants nothing to do with Staind frontman Aaron Lewis ever again after his last encounter with Lewis at a Florida airport years ago.

Borland, who also fronts Black Light Burns and Bigdumbface, said he was waiting for a flight back to his longtime home in Los Angeles after visiting family in Jacksonville, Florida, when Lewis approached him.

"And he's like, 'Where are you headed?'" Borland recalls to host Joshua Toomey on Talk Toomey: The Metal Nexus Podcast. "'I'm going home.' And he goes, 'Home?' I went, 'Yeah, I just visited my parents I'm going back to L.A.'

"For the record, I've lived in L.A. longer than I've lived in any other city in my life," Borland qualifies before continuing.

"Aaron looks at me and he kind of turns his chin up and he goes, "Nah, man. Remember where you came from. Florida's your home; not L.A. That's home.'"

"I just went, 'F--k you, man!" Borland says. "And I never talked to him again after that."

Borland says this happened while Staind was still active and before Lewis began his solo career as a country artist, a fact Borland sees as hypocritical, since Lewis is not from the South.

"That guy is such a d--k head. So full of himself, such a d--k head. I wish nothing but the worst for him. Amen. I could not believe the audacity and pretentiousness. Especially from somebody who acts like they're a country boy now, and they're from [New England]."
