The northern lights could be visible across 16 states next week. The University of Alaska
Fairbanks Geophysical Institute is predicting high activity of the aurora borealis on Thursday,
July 13th, across Canada and much of the northern U.S. The forecast says the colorful light
show in the night sky will be visible as far south as Indiana, and from Maine to Washington
state. The best time to see the northern lights will be from 10pm to 2am local time, and the
best place to see them will be in rural areas away from the city lights.
