NASA wants help with ideas about recycling on Mars. The space agency and the crowdsourcing platform HeroX are launching a "Waste to Base" challenge. People can submit suggestions for ways to recycle trash, waste, carbon dioxide, and foam packaging materials during a two to three year crewed mission to Mars. The challenge is open until March 15th and prizes of up to a thousand dollars will be awarded – with a total prize purse of $24 thousand.
