We have all herd the term “Don’t bring a knife to a gunfight.” Well what do you bring to a knife fight? Chili Powder apparently.
Take it from a convenience store worker who used the cooking spice to literally save his life.
A newspaper in the United Kingdom reports that a robber armed with a knife thought the AI Convenience store was going to be an easy target. He dressed in all black, approached the cashier, brandished his knife and promptly got hit in the face chili powder.
The best part was the incident, was also caught on camera.
It shows the thief brandishing his large knife at the store's manager, only for the potential victim to lob the orange-colored spice right back as it explodes into a mushroom-like cloud upon impact.
The suspect promptly panics, stumbles back, and dashes out of the store while frantically wiping his eyes.
So, how did the shopkeep get chili powder so quickly? Turns out he keeps a tub of it under his register to thwart would-be robbers. Talk about effective.
