God's Love We Deliver will move forward with tonight's Love Rocks NYC benefit concert but with a restricted attendance policy due to COVID-19 concerns.
Attendees will be limited to core artist personnel, event staff, essential team staff, credentialed media and immediate family, according to a press release sent out Thursday afternoon.
The concert will now be made available via a live stream, beginning at 8 p.m., to all ticketholders.
Anyone who purchased their ticket through Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded. Ticketholders who would like to donate the price of their ticket to God's Love We Deliver can do so via GodsLoveNYC.org here.
"We have made this decision due to the rapid progression of COVID-19 and escalating developments nationally, as well as through guidance we have received from medical experts, local authorities and other sources," the concert's producers announced. "The support of our fans has made Love Rocks NYC one of the leading benefit concerts in New York City each year, and has provided God's Love We Deliver with the incredible outpouring needed to help provide life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling for people int he New York Metropolitan area living with severe illness. However, the health and well-being of our clients and supporters is always our top concern and priority."
Last year's third annual Love Rocks concert raised $2.3 million. The fund-raiser has grown each year in terms of the money raised.
Tonight's concert is scheduled to include performances by Dave Matthews, Chris and Rich Robinson of the Black Crowes, Jackson Browne, Cyndi Lauper, Leon Bridges, Warren Haynes and many others.
