It’s hard to believe that Valentine’s Day marks exactly one year since the worst high school massacre in U.S. history: the murders of 14 students and 3 teachers at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High Sc hool in Parkland, Florida. Forest Hills native and drama teacher Melody Herzman not only survived, she saved students’ lives that day. Melody joins me at 7:15 AM to tell her story that day as well as the healing she led in the days after, documented on the HBO short “Song Of Parkland,” which you can see for free at HBO.com as well as on the HBO platforms.
