Sonstein Sunday: Dr. Michael Crane, Trish Adlesic

This week on the award winning Sonstein Sunday: I’m certain anyone who was near the WTC on 911 may suffer from PTSD, post-traumatic stress disorder. If you were below Canal Street on that day or even PART of the 8 months after, & you have PTSD, it’s likely PRESUMED caused by the toxins. Register with the WTC Health Program and if you are diagnosed, you’ll get free health care from them. They’re in all 50 states, in case you know someone who is impacted. Even 16 years later!

Joining me on Q104.3’s “Sonstein Sunday” at 7am: Dr. Michael Crane heads the WTRC health program at Mt. Sinai Hospital, also the wonderful attorney Michael Barasch (who will give you a free consult and help register you with the WTC health program), and Gary Smiley, a retired EMS worker who was with the first Brooklyn EMS crew to respond on that horrible day 16-and-a-half years ago. No one should see what he saw that day.

And at 7:15am: It’s a national scandal- thousands and thousands of rape kits sit collecting dust all over America. Producer and co-director Trish Adlesic joins me to talk about the documentary she created (“Law & Order SVU” star Mariska Hargitay produced), “I Am Evidence” which you can see on HBO starting Monday night (4/16) at 8pm. I learned so much. Horrified but proud the NYPD corrected this problem close to 20 years ago!!!

Listen to me every Sunday at 7:00am on Q104.3, or anytime, on my Sonstein Sessions podcast on the iHeartRadio app!
