What? Not a person. It's a group? That's right! And it reflects what's been going on for years (decades actually). "The SIlence Breakers." Yes, the Person Of The Year can be anything influential. One year in the 80's it wasn't even human. It was, "The Computer" named person of the year.
The Silence Breakers should do a lot to clean up the workplace in many industries. I raise daughters so, for me, I'm glad to see it. Maybe they'll have futures without this kind of behavior. BUT sometimes these situations have a tendency to go way overboard to the other side of the spectrum as well.
We'll have to be careful to judge each situation on its own standing. Every once in a while someone might say #metoo and they may have been in something consensual and they didn't get what they wanted out of it. Or got dumped and felt scorn and wanted to get even. I'm saying that has been known to happen with some women and some men. But if the overall movement can clean up Hollywood/Sports/Music and some other industries. It's doing what it needs to do.
