Based on a true story about a group of men, (older, mostly already served and were doing other jobs) who went into World War 2 to find and protect works of art and other monuments from being destroyed or kept illegally. It was performed nicely by George Clooney, Matt Damon, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Bob Balaban and a great ensemble cast. It was nice to see Bill Murray play a straight man to Bob Balaban's slightly comedic performance (usually it's the opposite).
The script may have been slow at times but history also unfolds like that. Still it is not to be missed. It's a part of World War 2 that we may have forgotten about and it's great to see that our country, and the men who may not have been credited correctly in history, were able to retrieve the world's largest collection of historical art pieces and return them to their rightful owners.
