The renowned guitarist Eric Johnson joined a special 'Out of the Box' to play some acoustic guitar for us and talk about his new album.

Johnson is best known for his inspiring electric guitar instrumentals, but lately he's been focusing on the acoustic guitar. His new album, EJ, is a collection of solo acoustic songs, both originals and re-imagined covers.

The guitarist joined Jonathan Clarke for a special interview and live performance of his new song "Once Upon a Time in Texas" and his version of Simon & Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson."

He talked about the challenge of playing live all by himself with just an acoustic guitar and a microphone and how refreshing it is creatively to work on quieter music.
