Just because Labor Day has past and you’ve already put away all of your white clothing, doesn’t mean that there’s nothing happening on the weekends. September is going to be hotter than this summer ever shaped up to be, so I’m sure there are some beach weekends left. I mean if wearing shorts is your thing…

Are you fan of bowling and the Rolling Stones? Head over to Williamsburg’s Brooklyn Bowl tonight for a Stones Tribute Show.

Vanilla Fudge keeps hanging on and they’re embarking on their Farewell Tour Saturday night at the Dix Hills Performing Arts Center.

And the festivals continue:

The Largest and oldest Italian feast on Long Island, La Grande Festa Italiana, returns to North Hempstead Beach Park in Port Washington. It started last night and runs through Sunday. Rides, music, food, zeppolis.

The East Northport Chamber of Commerce's Annual Festival will features: magic shows, sidewalk sales, craft vendors, great food, a petting zoo, bicycle stunt shows, amusement rides and games, live entertainment, street performers and more! That sounds like fun! Starts tomorrow night.

And while the bigger brother fair (sister fair?) is in Tuxedo, the Warren County 4H club is having their 5th annual Renaissance Faire at the Fair Grounds. On Sunday, they’re going to have a living Chess match.

The 37th Annual Greek Festival starts tonight in Union while the 8th Annual St. Benedict Carnival starts tomorrow night in Homdel.

I know Shelli Sonsteinis excited for Oysterfest! That kicks off in Asbury Park tomorrow.

Also tomorrow night, there’s a car show in Ridgewood at Van Nest Square.

In Atlantic City the Second Annual Resorts Casino Craft Beer Festival is Saturday.

But I’m getting ready for next week’s Miss America Pageant returning to AC. If the casinos can’t save the city, maybe Miss New Jersey can. Or at the very least she can keep the New Jersey tradition alive and put a horse’s head in the judge’s bed.
