When the US beat Ghana last week, cities all over the country erupted in patriotic chants of "USA USA USA".
Even a new hashtag has emerged #IBelieveThatWeWillWin too, a not too subtle dig at the US Soccer coach, who at the start of the games declared, that the team has no chance.
But what happens when a country not use to losing, sees a game that we were winning, end in a draw at literally the last second?
It. Doesn't. End. Well.
30 seconds away from a win...... Are you kidding me #USA— Scott Ruggieri (@SRuggieri_08) June 22, 2014

Jesus M. Christ, I'm never watching a soccer match again. What a show of horror. Five lousy seconds and it's all a waste. #WorldCup2014— Ami Dodson (@amidod) June 23, 2014

I blame the commentator who said “In 20 tries, USA hasn't won a game where they conceded the first goal” right before that goal. Jinxed it.— Austin Boyd (@AustinCBoyd) June 22, 2014
commentator jinxed it with "this will be one of the greatest wins in history for the USA"— Alex Barbera (@alexxbarbs) June 23, 2014
