Foreigner has announced that the band's current lineup and members of its original lineup will join forces for two shows at the end of the band's 40th anniversary tour.
Founding singer Lou Gramm, drummer Dennis Elliott, keyboardist Al Greenwood, guitarist Ian McDonald and bassist Rick Wills will join Foreigner's current Mick Jones-led lineup for two shows Oct. 6 and 7 at Michigan's Soaring Eagles Casino & Resort.
The two lineups performed together on Long Island, NY, this past July. Jones later told Billboard he was thrilled with the response.
"Lou is good, and he's kept his voice," Jones said of the singer, with whom he reunited in 2013 at their Songwriters Hall of Fame induction. "Al and Ian are playing the same as they did 40 years ago, basically, and it's a hoot. It's great adrenaline and very enjoyable. I think there's no bad apple anywhere in the whole thing, so I can't see any big problems."
The shows this October will be filmed for a potential future release.
