This weekend, we're celebrating the 50th anniversary. And coincidentally, it took place over this exact weekend.

Shelli Sonstein spoke to DA Pennybaker. He and his crew shot the concert and created the movie Monterey Pop, which also was the first of its kind. Here, they actually developed the techniques for filming concerts.

Listen to the interview where DA describes his favorite moments from the concert:

Monterey Pop is in limited release, showing this weekend at the IFC Center in Manhattan and The Showroom in Asbury Park.
