Mark Fisher, stage designer and architect for some of the world's biggest shows, died Tuesday in London. USA Today reports that Fisher, who had designed sets for the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, and U2 died at the age of 66 in his sleep of an undisclosed illness.

Fisher was the senior designer for the opening and closing ceremonies at the Beijing Olympics and was the executive producer for the London Games. Fisher had a major impact on the music industry, designing the set for the Rolling Stones' 50th anniversary tour, Pink Floyd's groundbreaking The Wall tour, and U2's 360 tour.
