My favorite episode of the Simpsons... Wait. Can you have only one? Let me rephrase. One of my favorite episdoes of the Simpsons is the one where Homer gets audited by the IRS. Such great classic lines. Like this exchange between Ned Flanders and his son Todd:
Todd: Daddy, what do taxes pay for?
Ned: Oh, why, everything! Policemen, trees, sunshine! And lets not forget the folks who just don't feel like working, God bless 'em!
Or this gem from Homer:
Would you look at those morons... I paid my taxes over a year ago!
Well, CNN Money has a study that says attitudes are changing towards the IRS. More and more Americans say it's OK to cheat on taxes.
I think that's wrong. Shame on them. You should render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's and such. Now if you excuse me, I need to place a long distance call to my tropical island banker. I like keeping my money warm. Yeah, that's it.
