Police Commissioner Ray Kelly told ABC 7 on Thursday that he fears Avonte Oquendo, the missing Autistic teen that has been missing for three weeks, is no longer alive. However, Kelly urged people to continue to provide tips.

“Unfortunately, we are not hopeful that we’re going to find this young man alive, but we are continuing our search,” Kelly told ABC 7. Avonte has been missing since Oct. 4 when he was last seen leaving his school in Long Island City, Queens.

The reward for Avonte's safe return is up to $89,500. Avonte's family has not given up hope and are asking people to continue their search.

Anyone with information regarding Avonte are asked to call NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. You can also submit tips by going to WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
