Mayor Bloomberg continued to warn voters and officials Friday that the 2013 mayoral election could turn into a complete mess if the old mechanical voting machines aren’t brought back. Bloomberg joined John Gambling on WOR 710 for his weekly in-studio appearance and talked about potential problems with the current electronic voting machines that were introduced in 2010.
Bloomberg has been warning that if a runoff is needed after the Sept. 10 primaries for mayor, it could take until January before New Yorkers know who the next mayor is. Bloomberg also argued that the old voting machines, which are currently sitting in a warehouse, provide voters with more privacy.
