A new Quinnipiac University poll shows Mayor Bill de Blasio’s approval rate stands at 50 percent.  That’s down 1 percent from a similar poll taken in June.

"New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio gets positive marks on honesty, empathy and leadership. He's only so-so on most issues, except for a big plus on race relations," said Quinnipiac University Poll Assistant Director Maurice Carroll.

New Yorkers approve of Police Commissioner Bill Bratton by a 48 to 35 percent margin.

The same poll found that 49 percent of voters believe Al Sharpton is a positive force in the city.  Forty percent say he’s a negative force.
